Corporate: Placements
The traditional aspect of practical training has been taken over by
Practice School Division in a formalized practice exposure for students
who opt for the same. Further, the needs of placement efforts have been
formalized, over the years, through large scale campus interviews,
whereby about 70 industries send their experts every year to interview
students who are about to graduate.
The number of such
interviews actually has grown in a phenomenal way over the years. The
student population in the final year is divided into two batches: one
batch goes to practice school in the first semester, and the other
batch in the second semester. As such there will be only half od the
final year students available on camps in any one semester. Many
organizations find it worthwhile to conduct the campus interviews in
both the semesters so that they can interview both the batches on the
campus itself.
However, the Institute has the facility to
arrange interviews for practice school students in their won practice
school centers and organizations may also visit the practice school
centers for conducting interviews. The impressions given by the
representatives of industries about the students are continuously fed
back to the concerned Division and discipline groups.
